Wayne Gibson's playing career started late at 15 years old, back in Barbados. His neighbour had a Steel band and Wayne was privileged to be able to spend time in his pan yard trying my hand at the instrument there. Playing turned out to be great fun and the rest, as they say is history.

Over the years Wayne has developed a playing style that seems unique as there are very few players that play this way. Melody and harmony with 4 sticks.

Not forgetting his roots, Wayne's musical interest ranges far and wide. Soca, calypso, salsa and the reggae sounds of the Caribbean are still on top of his performance list. His styles as a Steel pan soloist also include playing Jazz and the mellow latin Bossa Nova, Pop, Blues, Classical and even Indian music.
